This high quality metal removing filter has been specially designed for lead reduction. In addition to lead reduction, the unique formation of the carbon block enables this filter to reduce cryptosporidium and giardia cysts as well as fine sediment particles down to 0.5 microns. This CBR2 metal removing filter will also reduce levels of chlorine, taste and odour, MTBE as well as certain volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) than Granulated Active Carbon (GAC) filters.

CBR2 filters are primarily used in systems that target metals. As this filter has a low micron rating of 0.5, we recommend using a sediment filter in conjunction with this to avoid shorting it’s lifespan due to clogging.

This CBR2 filter is used as a filter in our Systems, including our Fresh 3 Stage drinking water system and HMA Heavy Metal Removal Carbon system. Our carbon block filters will fit most standard Reverse Osmosis systems and Filtration systems.

Description


The CBR2 metal removing filter is made from a combination of powdered activated carbon with a specially designed adsorbent medium for lead and mercury reduction. The polypropylene outer wrap helps to reduce coarse sediment particles which will extend the lifespan of the cartridge.

This filter has a lead reduction capacity of approximately 2000 gallons and a chlorine reduction capacity of 20000 gallons. With outstanding chlorine, taste and odour reduction, this CBR2 heavy metal removing filter is considered the best in the industry.
