Whole House Filtration Systems

Our Whole House Filtration system is a complete water filtration system for the home. This system is the best solution for filtering all the water you use within your home. This system is usually installed on the water input (point of entry) to the house. This will allow the whole house system to begin treating the water as soon as it enters the home’s plumbing system.

This Whole House Filtration system will effectively remove chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals and earth metals as well as other volatile organic compounds without altering the overall dissolved minerals or pH of the water. This large system can treat up to 380,000 litres of water.

The benefits of a Whole House Filtration system are vast. Our system will not only improve the quality of your household water but it will also improve indoor air quality. This system will remove VOC’s, pesticides, metals, radon and will reduce TDS down to 5 Microns. Our system will also benefit dishwashing and laundry. Filtered water in the dishwasher will reduce film or soap scum on dishes as well as helping prevent toxic VOC’s and chloroform being released into the air following the use of dishwashers. Clothes won’t have VOC’s and chlorine in them which can irritate skin as well as helping clothing colours to last longer without chlorine present in the water. Our system will also require less detergent necessary in each laundry and dishwasher cycle.

Firstly, your water will pass through a 10 inch sediment filter which will remove and reduce sediments including rust, dirt, silt and sand. This filter is made from 100% pure polypropylene and has an extra high capacity. The second and third stage of our system is 20 inch big blue granulated active carbon filter. This high quality filter will improve the taste and odour of the water by removing aesthetic contaminants. The filter is designed so that water flows from the bottom to the top, exposing the water to the filter media for the longest possible contact time to allow for maximum adsorption. This GAC filter will reduce and remove up to 99% of chlorine and 85% of pesticides, solvents, hydrocarbon, phenol and other organic compounds.

Our Whole House Filtration Systems are sized according to the number of persons per household in order to produce the appropriate volume of water. We have sized these as small: 1 – 3 persons per household, medium: 4 – 6 persons per household and large: 7+ persons per household. Each system will follow the same stages of filtration and have the same 5 Micron Spun Sediment filter, but will have a varying amount of Granulated Active Carbon.

This system includes a water connection kit. We have a range of options that will be suitable for most homes. These connections kits include: 15mm copper pipe with isolation valve; 22mm copper pipe with isolation valve; straight connection to 32mm pipe; straight connection to 25mm pipe; straight connection to 20mm pipe; elbow connection to 32mm pipe; elbow connection to 25mm pipe; elbow connection to 20mm pipe; combination connection to 32mm pipe; combination connection to 32mm pipe; combination connection to 20mm pipe. This system includes the water filters. We recommend replacing the sediment filter every 3 months and the Granulated Active Carbon filter yearly, under normal conditions and regardless of water quantity used. Estimated capacity tested at given flow rate using 2 ppm free available chlorine to 0.5 ppm breakthrough. Increased flow rates may result in less effective chlorine reduction.
