This high quality carbon block filter is made from roasted coconut husk activated carbon and is comprised of activated carbon granules and a binding agent that allows the carbon granules to maintain a static position relative to each other.

This reverse osmosis filter is used for chlorine reduction removing as well as the removal of particles, microscopic cysts, heavy metals such as lead, volatile organic chemicals (VOC’s) and other contaminants.

This carbon block filter can be used on its own in any 10 inch water filter housing to freshen water or as a pre-filter in Reverse Osmosis Systems. Our carbon block filters will fit most standard Reverse Osmosis systems and Filtration systems.

Description


Carbon water filters are highly effective at removing impurities and contaminants by using chemical adsorption. Carbon filters are more effective at removing larger amounts of impurities, based upon the larger surface area of carbon. Carbon block filters can be used on their own to freshen water or in conjunction with a sediment filter to form the pre-filtration stage of Reverse Osmosis.
