Flow Restrictors
Flow Restrictors are essential within an RO system. The flow restrictor will create back pressure throughout the Reverse Osmosis membrane and determine the amount of water that flows to the waste outlet. The number on the flow restrictor indicates the flow rate, in millimetres per minute. It is essential that the flow restrictor should match your membrane size. If an incorrect restrictor is fitted to your system, this may result in damage to your membrane and possibly reduce the product water flow.
Flow Restrictors are easy to install by simply inserting the ¼” waste line tubing firmly into the quick connect fittings on either side of the flow restrictor, the inlet and outlet. We recommend changing your flow restrictor every time you replace your Reverse Osmosis Membrane.
