This is by far the most popular resin. Demineralisation resins are used to reduce the TDS (polishing the water). The TDS from a RO unit is not always as low as needed so the usage of DI resin will bring the TDS down to nearly 0 TDS. We only use high quality virgin mixed bed DI resin as this gives a high consistent performance over a longer lifespan.
